International Automotive Components (IAC) is a leading global supplier of automotive components and systems.

Due to the company's ongoing success, IAC decided to expand and set up a new production facility, the new premises consisted of two huge buildings occupying 28,800m2, and the company will manufacture, assemble, and sequence components for delivery to Jaguar Land Rover’s nearby Solihull plant, which makes the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Velar, as well as the Jaguar F-Pace.

IAC contacted Celsius to look at designing and installing a suitable heating solution for both buildings. Based on external temperatures of -3 degrees and aiming to support ambient temperatures of 18 degrees, the larger building required over 1400KW of heating and the smaller building required over 540KW of heating.

In order to meet these requirements, Celsius installed 10 no. 140KW Powrmatic gas-fired suspension heaters in the larger building and 4 no. 140KW Powrmatic heaters in the smaller building. 

In order to prevent any heat loss and eliminate cold spots within each of the building’s structures, Celsius also installed over 50 Powrmatic high-velocity thermal destratification fans in the larger building and 17 destratification fans in the smaller building. 

The Powrmatic High-velocity destratification fans recirculate high-level hot air and push it back down to a low level, they are specifically designed to lower the fuel consumption of space heating systems.

Celsius undertook the complete installation including builder's work, power, and gas pipework. All work was carried out during normal working hours with no downtime.
