Compass Plus are a leading financial payments provider for many blue-chip companies around the world.  When they needed to expand their Nottingham based Data centre they came to Celsius to install a low-carbon EcoCooling system, their Data centre will have a likely load of around 75KW and Celsius have installed a system that will draw less than 5KW to fully cool the area.

The system consists of 3 no. EcoCooling units and 3 no. Celsius extraction fans, allow for N+1 resilience.  The system also benefits from an attemperation system to blend some warm air with the entering cool air in the winter months to make sure the air is delivered at the correct temperature for the IT equipment in the racks.

We also installed a cold aisle containment system to ensure maximum performance and efficiency from the system, it is anticipated that Compass Plus will save over 120 tonnes of carbon per annum by using EcoCooling instead of conventional Air conditioning.
