Celsius was contacted to design and install a suitable cooling solution to the overheating problem the Physiotherapy department currently had in their Gym, based at Doddington Hospital. 

Celsius installed one EcoCooling evaporative cooler, which was ducted directly into the area and fitted with a double-deflection grille to help direct the chilled air around the area.

Healthier Environment

As well as reducing summertime temperatures the fresh air system also minimises the production and spread of odours in the area when compared to a standard air conditioning system. As air conditioning tends to recirculate the air, potentially spreading smells as well as bacteria and infection. 

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, this has never been so important.

Controls

The system is controlled by an EcoCooling wall-mounted, variable-speed controller containing a thermostat to ensure comfortable conditions.

Running Costs

The running costs for the Evaporative cooling system are expected to be less than 10% of the usual running costs for a comparable air conditioning system, with drastically reduced associated maintenance costs.
