HVAC Solution for Aviation Supplier

AirTanker Ltd is the organisation behind the revolutionary Multi-Role Tanker Transport 'Voyager' capability, delivering flexible capabilities to the Royal Air Force and in addition providing agile capabilities to the civil leasing market.

AirTanker originally based at RAF Brize Norton recently relocated to new purpose-built premises in Witney, Oxfordshire. The new facility currently had no existing heating and ventilation system in place so AirTanker contacted Celsius to design and install a suitable warehouse heating and warehouse cooling solution.

Based on external temperatures of -3 degrees and aiming to support ambient temperatures of 18 degrees, the building required over 250KW of heating and cooling.

In order to meet these requirements, Celsius installed two 140KW Powrmatic gas-fired suspension heaters and 6 no. EcoCooling Evaporative Coolers, each providing over 35kw cooling.

In order to prevent any heat loss and eliminate cold spots, Celsius also installed over 20 destratification fans. The destratification fans recirculate high-level hot air and push it back down to low level, they are specifically designed to lower the fuel consumption of space heating systems.

Celsius undertook the complete installation including builder's work, power, and gas pipework. All work was carried out during normal working hours.
