Born from a beekeeping hobby in 2011, Hilltop Honey's proud owner, Scott, began by labeling jars of honey at his parent's kitchen table. Today, Hilltop Honey is the second-largest honey brand in the UK, expanding across ranges and retailers both domestically and internationally.

Challenge

Based in Newtown, Wales, Hilltop Honey's main production facility faced high summertime temperatures, particularly in the production and pump areas. To address this, they reached out to Celsius for a cooling solution.

Solution

Celsius designed and installed a suitable cooling system comprising three EcoCooling Evaporative Coolers, balanced with two Celsius roof-mounted extraction units for the main production area, and an additional EcoCooler and extraction fan for the pump room. Each system provides over 35 kW of cooling, delivering a combined capability of over 100 kW, effectively reducing working temperatures.

Food-Grade Filtration

Considering Hilltop's involvement in the food industry, Celsius provided all units with food-grade filtration. Each EcoCooler was equipped with an external G4 grade filter jacket, meeting industry standards.

Results

Celsius completed the installation without any downtime in a live production environment, ensuring continued operations while enhancing the workplace climate.
